I captained first XIs in Lancashire and Cheshire County League, Manchester Association and Latterly Heaton Mersey in the Cheshire County League.

Hi, I’m Kate – cricket mum to Becky and Thomas and the club welfare officer at Rawtenstall CC.

I have previously worked as a nurse and more recently an Occupational Therapy Assistant. In my role, I complete yearly British life support training.

I have worked at the University of Central Lancashire for 17 years and my current role is Personal Assistant to the Director of UK Recruitment & Partnerships and Academic Registry.

When I began scoring, I had already been playing cricket for about five years, so I had a good understanding of the game.

I passed the Level 2 ECB umpires’ course in 2019 and, as a member of the ACO, I get regular training and development opportunities. Since then, I have umpired over 100 matches in both Lancashire leagues and Palace Shield.
