Saturday – 26th October

A great game ends with a win for the home side. That wraps up the action for WLCDG on Saturday!


The Guardians are back out to play Granada.

They’ve done it! The Warriors wrap up the win against Madrid Women!


Guardians bat well to reach 47-1 with some great shots along the way:

Warriors into bat now chasing 40 against Madrid.


The Warriors keep Madrid to 39-1.

And take the first wicket of the weekend for WLCDG!

First day recap:

Both WLCDG sides put in fantastic performances on the first full day of the Granada Sixes on Friday.

In hot weather the Guardians came close against a strong Madrid Womens side, reaching 51-1 in pursuit of Madrid’s 70-0.

Ellie Parkinson scored 19, Rebekah Egan 11 and Andrea Baybutt 3 in the chase.

The Warriors were next up, securing a famous victory with a magnificent four on the last ball to take the spoils against North London Women.

Adelaide Mather scored 30, Katie Davies 25 and Emily Whelan 11.

The home side take the spoils, reaching 44-0 in the final over of the match. A brave effort from the Warriors!

The Warriors are back on the field, needing to keep Granada below their 42-1.

A fantastic chase, sees the Guardians fall agonisingly short with 55-0, chasing North London Women’s 59.

The Warriors reach 42-1 in their first innings.

The Guardians take to the field chasing 60 to win.

A strong start sees 14 from the first over!

The Warriors now take to the field for their first innings against the home side – Granada!

Nerves of steel sees the Warriors chalk up a famous victory!


North London Women set the Warriors 53 to win

A great fielding an bowling performance from the Warriors in the first innings keeps North London Women to 52-0!

Guardians hit 51-1 in response

A great batting display saw the Guardians reach 51-1 in response.

Ellie Parkinson racked up 19, Rebekah Egan 11 and Andrea Baybutt scored 11

Madrid Women (MAD) won by 19 runs

Madrid Women reach 70-0

The Guardians put in a strong bowling and fielding performance in windy conditions to keep a strong Madrid batting line up to 70-0.

They match will resume soon with the Guardians going into bat.

WLCDG enjoy training session and first match

The women and girls arrived in Granada late on Wednesday and were quickly in action at the Granada Oval.

Following a training session, the two sides played the first match of the tournament.
