West Lancashire District Cricket Development Group (WLDCG) is thrilled to announce the launch of a brand new website, designed to support and develop cricket in the West Lancs region.
WLCDG’s aim is to help clubs enhance both playing and non-playing areas, with a strong focus on encouraging growth in under-represented areas like junior and women and girls cricket.
The group’s plans for 2023 include continuing to fund junior cricket in the district and expanding support for women and girls cricket.
This additional support will encompass coaching, training, and funding, ensuring these sections receive the necessary resources for growth and development.
The new website will serve as a hub for news and updates relating to cricket in the region. It will also showcase the players and clubs in the area, as well as upcoming events.
The website will also help WLCDG to publicise a groundbreaking women’s cricket tour to Barbados, which will take place later later in 2023.
WLCDG aims to improve access to cricket for everyone in the region, regardless of age, gender, sexuality, religion, race, or colour.
WLCDG focuses on promoting cricket through the establishment of quality clubs, coaching programs, and facilities, and through building strong connections with local schools and community partners.
