West Lancs Cricket Development Group’s Women and Girls are preparing for an action-packed tour to Granada, Spain, where they will compete in the inaugural Granada Sixes tournament.

WLCDG will enter two teams and a squad of 17 players will be heading to the south of Spain for the tournament, which will be held at the Granada Oval.

The tour will offer unique opportunities for squad development and bonding – as well as the chance to experience playing cricket in a completely new environment and a European style of play.

The team will also be holding dedicated training sessions in Granada to prepare for the event, which will take place on 25-27 October 2024.

The Granada Sixes is a fast-paced tournament featuring teams from five different countries. Each team will play at least six matches across the five days.

The group will also have the chance to explore Granada, including a potential visit to the Alhambra and the historic old town.

We will be sharing regular updates from the tour on the website and social media channels.
